Basic Life Support
In this class, we teach American Heart Assocation course for: Healthcare Providers, (Physicians, Nurses, Paramedics, EMT's, Respiratory Therapists, Physical and Occupational Therapists, Physician's
Assistants, Medical Residents or Fellows, Medical or Nursing students in training, Aides, Medical or Nursing assistants, and other Allied Health personnel.
This course teaches the skills of CPR for victims of all ages (including ventilation with a barrier device, and bag mask device with oxygen), use of an Automated External Defibullator (AED), and relief of Foreign Body Airway Obstruction (FBAO). It is intended for students who provide healthcare to patients in a wide variety of settings, including in-hospital and out-of-hospital settings. For certified or non-certified, licensed or non-licensed healthcare providers.
Course material required:
1. BLS for Healthcare Providers Textbook, required.
2. Course Completion Card (students who complete the BLS Heathcare Provider Course with a test score of 85 and above, and Skills Check-off) will receive this once the Instructor submits completed course paperwork. (two year certification)
3. Exam: Multiple choice and skills. (Required.)
Course: Length 6 to 8 hours.
